File Processing

The large majority of tools on PublicSoftTools process files entirely within your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. For those tools, your files, documents, and images are never uploaded to any server — they never leave your device.

A small number of tools require heavy processing that is not practical in a browser and are handled on our secure server instead. These are: the PDF Compressor and the PDF to Word conversion (the Word to PDF direction still runs entirely in your browser). For these server-side operations:

Your file is transmitted over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.
It is processed in an isolated, temporary working directory.
It is deleted immediately after the result is returned to you.
We do not store, log, retain, or inspect the contents of your files.

Each tool's page clearly states whether it runs in your browser or on our server.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to collect anonymised, aggregate statistics about site traffic — pages visited, approximate location (country/region), and device type. This data helps us understand which tools are used and improve the site. No personally identifiable information is collected.

Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser. You can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Advertising — Google AdSense

PublicSoftTools uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google AdSense is an advertising service provided by Google LLC. As part of serving ads, Google and its partners may:

Place and read cookies on your browser
Use web beacons and similar tracking technologies
Collect data such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and interactions with ads
Use that data to show you interest-based (personalised) advertisements

Cookies

This site uses cookies set by Google Analytics (for traffic measurement) and Google AdSense (for advertising). We do not set any cookies of our own. You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time.
